I did this monotype back in December? maybe January? (sorry for the bad picture again)
It took me all the way to Scholastics and won me a gold key! And I'm so thankful for that. I was so nervous at the ceremony though! SO nervous. I hate speaking in public. And there were hundreds of people there. And I HATED the dress I was wearing (hopefully someone can relate to that puting more stress on an already bad situation, haha). I had to go onto the stage, say my name, what school I went to, and what I won into a microphone. I was scared of forgeting my last name and everything. But it was a fun experience in the end. And this piece was printed as the front cover of the program; I was happily stunned. It might have been one of the best and worst days of my life..

So beautiful! I love how the detail really comes together with all the color tones. I think the red moon up there is a great idea too and I even like how the bright color near the dear stands out a bit from the rest of the monotype!
